The point is to share different buying opportunities and, by having the world see my work, I can get some feedback and motivation to do it more professionally.
My dream is that everyone that reads this blog will make or save more money over time and, thus, I can be proud of my work.
Compounding is one of the wonders of the world.
Just by having all the money in an index fund like VOO just about everyone can become rich over time.
If we are capable of saving a few more $$$ we can get there even sooner.
If we manage to save and make a bargain, we make it 100% closer to our goal.
By comparing it to VOO, we can try to make a bargain in stocks. This is not as guaranteed as with regular bargains though. Since we can't see the future and know for sure how they will perform.
The very rich can't buy something small because of their large volumes they will increase the prices. So they are way more forced to buy different kinds of stocks.
We, on the other hand, can buy anything we can afford without pushing up the price.
So, in my theory, we should be able to make a better return on our investments. At least till we reach a massive amount of money.
Overall, the webpage is faster than most other websites in similar niches. However, there are still many improvements that can be made. We currently don't have any ads, which could also greatly improve performance.
The main focus right now is making awesome content that grabs people's attention, especially from search engines. Once we have more people using the site, we'll deal with these problems. But since I'm just one person doing this for free, I have to prioritize.
I want to use a React framework (NextJS) that will automatically fix all these issues. It's really helpful for creating more advanced tools on the webpage more easily.
When these issues are resolved, the webpage will be even faster than it already is.
I need to make a better and smaller grid layout. And for calculators it can be way smaller, maybe just a link is needed.
I would also like to implement a search function within the page, making it easier to find whatever you are looking for.
Re-do the design in figma then doing the webpage after the design might be in order. To have a better overall design that is more user friendly. With forcus on right typography and usability. Right now some things are too big, too small, or simply bad designed.
